Toffolo - a name representing quality for 90 years. Founded in 1916 by Osvaldo Toffolo, the Company still applies those standards and attention to detail. One of the very few Companies capable of laying Insitu Terrazzo to the standards of the original 19th Century Italian craftsmen who migrated to the UK. We also produce bespoke Precast Terrazzo items to order and lay Terrazzo tiles. Almost without fail, every time you walk into a Supermarket, Airport or other busy Building, you will be walking on the modern equivalent of what the Romans paved their Villas and Galleries with - Terrazzo tiles. Terrazzo tiles have taken the place of conventional Terrazzo for large areas since the latter is more time consuming in it's application, and requires skill and patience. Modern building processes require a 'quick fix', hence the prevalence of Tiles. In the Kitchen, Granite worksurfaces provide the luxury and stunning good looks never afforded by modern alternatives. The Granite block from which your worksurface is created is blasted from mountain sides, sliced into sheets and polished to a high degree. Your particular piece of History is probably at least 100 million years old, and if you look after it should last the same again! Granite is not restricted to the Kitchen and can be used to stunning effect for Fireplaces, Vanity tops in Bathrooms, Table tops for your Dining room and particularly Window sills reflecting the light like no other material. We can also supply Marble or Slate tops, bottoms, sides, Hearths, Sills, Tables, Chairs, Lecterns, bases and trebles. All cut from huge slabs which we stock and cut to order. If Mosaic is your thing, we can supply (and fix, if required) Roman, Venetian, Ceramic glazed and un-glazed, Encaustic and Tessellated, Geometric and Smalti.
